after using Adobe Acrobat Pro for 15 years I was looking for an alternative. not because of usability, but only because of cost; the Adobe subscription is much to expensive. I found PDF-XChange. In projects at customers site I head already head to use PDF-XChange. At that time I was not really convinced of the tools and wanted my Acrobat back, But now I love PDF-XChange using it on my Windows notebook! to bad there ist no Apple app for my iPhone/iPad!

I work full-time, am a part time student, and light-medium PDF user, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I've been using the software (Xchange Editor) since October 24 and I'm so happy with the features and performance. I'm also really glad not to have to deal with the bloated and intrusive Ad--- "Reader" app anymore. This software is very intuitive, customizable, loads quickly, and has everything I need (and WAY more, lol!). I love the text editor, pdf merging and converting, and feel spoiled by the fast and accurate OCR. Anyway, I don't leave reviews often but wanted to share my positive experience :) Cheers to the developers.

Ich habe schon zum zweiten Mal eine Lizenz erworben, finde das Produkt einfach toll, nutze es um Pdf‘s aller Art zu archivieren und editieren. Nutze auf Windows ausschliesslich dieses Pdf-Werkzeug. Ich würde es toll finden, wenn es auch für Mac verfügbar wäre.

I have been professionally using and editing PDF files for over 15 years in construction industry. 5-6 years ago, I have accidentally saw a colleague using PDF-XChange Editor, because he said it was freeware. At that time, I was using another corporate PDF tool, with a known brand. First impression, I remember how I was so shocked when my colleague opened 20 PDF drawing files so fast at the same time and still PDF tool didn't act slowly or hung up. I immediately requested freeware version of PDF-XChange Editor to be also installed on my computer. And so it all started. Thumbnails, Layers, Contents, the ability to rename or delete files while viewing, comments and flattening comments, converting files, combining files, viewing files and commenting on those converted from drawing tools... I cannot believe how everything is working so smoothy with PDF-XChange Editor! Everyday, I'm saying that this is such a great tool and recommending colleagues to use it! Unfortunately, my company is still using another corporate PDF tool, although I strongly recommended PDF-XChange Editor considering the ease of use and competitive license fees. But to tell you the truth, even though I'm a heavy user of this tool, when I checked your office from street view, it felt a little bit weird. Maybe putting some banners or more informative content to your location could increase the possibility for corporate purchases. Thank you again for this great software.

Je commence à peine à utiliser PDF-XChange Editor que je l'apprécie grandement. Je l'ai utilisé principalement pour fusionner des PDF et y associer une table des matières. L'outil fonctionne très bien et le résultat est très satisfaisant. Il contient une multitude d'autres fonctionnalités que j'essaierai bientôt. Mon prochain projet est de bâtir des formulaires PDF. Je le recommande! Merci!

This is my second third party PDF tool after distancing from Adobe. Although at this stage, a couple of weeks of casual use is too soon to determine if any work flow concerns are related to deficiency or lack of familiarity. The UI seems quite good. And the page rendering performance far exceeds the previous application I used. So, I am very pleased with the product at this stage.

First of all, I really LOVE PDF-XChange Editor. What would I add? I would like to be able to highlight text by character, and not have it become a separate box where I can't select text later independently. Related to the above, I would like to be able to change the color of a word within an already highlighted paragraph. Currently, it doesn't allow me to select text, making it impossible to highlight a portion in a different color. Also, the highlighting doesn't match the line spacing. The color is offset. It's possible that this is because the OCR engine doesn't recognize spacing properly. (NOTE: I'm reading old texts in old languages. My "requirement" is quite specific and, I suppose, specialized.)
