Windows 10 'End of life' announced by Microsoft.

Windows 10 Support - ending October 2025

What does this mean for me?

After 14 October 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide free software updates from Windows Update, technical assistance or security fixes for Windows 10. Your PC will still work, but MS recommends moving to Windows 11.
You can read more about your MS options from Microsoft's web site here

As far as your PDF-XChange products are concerned, nothing will change dramatically - they will still function as intended, and are likely to do so for some time to come. However, as more time elapses from the date of Windows 10 being supported, it is likely issues will begin to appear, and our ability to resolve these will become more problematic and potentially impossible - so you should start to plan for migration to Windows 11 before this occurs.

Our willingness to support you, should you choose to continue to use Windows 10, won't falter - but our ability to do so will be compromised the longer you decide to opt out of upgrading, so we would urge you to consider moving to a supported version of Windows sooner rather than later if you are using a version of Windows either out of support with Microsoft already or one for which support will shortly end.

Users of both Windows 8 and Windows 7 should also be aware that Microsoft no longer offers standard service updates or support for either of these products that have reached their end of life and users should migrate to an updated version of Windows as soon as possible.

For our part, we guarantee our products will function with the currently supported versions of Windows only - and we will still offer support for older versions, but when issues appear, as they undoubtedly will, we are limited to resolving issues within our own products, and there will come a point where we are unable to economically or practically resolve issues caused by lack of support from MS or other software/hardware installed and integrated in your installations.

Therefore we recommend all clients use versions of Windows ‘In support’ with Microsoft to ensure hardware/software compatibility and that your products security is maintained at all times.
