The Editor doesn't spell-check my language, how do I fix this?
We offer a small subset of languages by defualt, and an easy way to download numerous optional languages as well. If a language we do not offer is needed, we also support the manual installaiton of open source, OXT dictionary files, see the “manual installation” section for that process.
On the File tab, click Preferences and navigate to the Plugins category.
Click the Spell Check plugin, then click Setup
The Spell Checker setup dialog will appear
Click All/Update Languages, then locate the language you wish to install. After you check the languages you wish to have access to, click the Proceed button.
Next, these must be activated. On the File tab, click Preferences, and navigate to the Plugins category.
Select Spellcheck, and click Setup. Ensure that the new dictionary present, check the tickbox, and then click OK
The Spellchecker is now setup to work in the newly selected language.
The PDF-XChange Editor spell checker is fully compatible with the FREE open source dictionaries that Open Office uses, these can be downloaded here: http://extensions.openoffice.org/
Once you download these, the OXT file(s) will need to be added to two places, the dictionaries folder in the Software's “Common Files” folder (under Program Files), and the Editor's AppData folder. The “Program Files” folder can be found under
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Tracker Software\Common\Dictionaries
While the AppData folder is found under
%appdata%\Tracker Software\Common\Dictionaries
Note: You may need to create the Dictionaries folders manually, to do this right click and select New Folder or press Ctrl+Shift+N
Next, these must be activated. On the File tab, click Preferences, and navigate to the Plugins category.
Select Spellcheck, and click Setup. Ensure that the new dictionary present, check the tickbox, and then click OK
The Spellchecker is now setup to work in the newly selected language.
